Wake up, get a life, drop the nonsense…

September 6, 2017

Many things that tie us up and deter us from progress and success are of our own making. We need to wake up from our deep slumber, get a life and drop the nonsense that bring us down.

Carefully, using a magnifying glass, take a keen scrutiny of yourself and your life to pinpoint the issues that work against you, yet you are their creator and host. Drop the nonsense that has you continuously harboring limiting, defeatist, negative and debilitating  thoughts, emotions, words, actions, habits and behaviors. These conspire against you into a vicious trap that holds you down indefinitely while attracting situations, people and events that add up onto your woes. It is said misery loves company.

Before taking up another self-improvement course, program, book, seminar or boot-camp, closely examine yourself to see whether you are your own worst enemy and stumbling block. Everything starts with thoughts – what is your predominant mental attitude? What kind of thoughts do you continuously harbor? What are the accompanying emotions? How do they collectively work out in your quest to better your lot in life?

What are your words everyday? What do you talk of consistently with purpose, intention and finality? It is defeatist or uplifting? Do you always complain about life, people, events and almost everything else in life? Does this improve your general well-being or does it make you feel more miserable? Do you like keeping like-minded company? Are your peers also serial complainers about everything in life? Do you feel better or worse while in their company? Is their company worth keeping, and at what cost?

From your thoughts, feelings, words, actions, habits and behaviors – what kind of character have you weaved yourself into? Are you the kind of character you would wish for your child, spouse or friends? Do you like your own company? If all this careful scrutiny of yourself doesn’t feel good to you then it obviously isn’t and its time you woke up, got a life and dropped the nonsense!

I am with you in this journey…!

Hear Me Oh Troubled Soul!

November 26, 2009

The writings are on the wall, this wall. You are at liberty to ignore them though are advised to at least give them a glance and a thought, fair enough? Good.

Now, what are these writings? Well, lets say they are thought provoking. Thinking is life itself, we are what we think, don’t you agree? Therefore, we all think we are! Bless Descartes and his folk.

We all have a bag of trouble within our souls. I can’t agree more about that. What I hate are the self appointed crusaders out to change the world. Who told you the world, read people, need a change? Obama can forgive us for a while here.

However, there are a few souls who have reached the bottom and are out fighting back to reclaim whats rightfully theirs.

Woe betide whoever on their path!

The writings on this wall are for these few souls. You one of them?

We’ll see…
